Construction Safety Summit meets monthly to network with safety professionals and to host trainings in a continued effort to equip and educate those supporting our construction teams ensuring they return home safely every day.
Who we are
The Construction Safety Summit (CSS) was created to advance safety in the construction industry in the greater Portland area.
In addition, the Wayne Thomas Memorial Fund is created and funded by CSS to provide financial aid toward professional development opportunities to fellow safety professionals, seeking to advance their skills in the field of construction safety. Wayne Thomas was a well known and highly respected safety professional in the Pacific Northwest. He worked to ensure workers went home safe to their loved ones at the end of each day. We are honored to have this fund in his name and continue his mission still today. The fund will also be available, on a case by case basis, to advance construction safety for the common good of CSS and its members, to include funding of workshops, other educational opportunities and to contribute to institutions of higher learning offering accredited safety studies.
